This CD represents the collaboration of preeminent Bay Area blues musicians to help Nathan Harrison Beyer, a young boy born with an undiagnosed genetic condition. "Time of Gathering" is a sweet elixir of the West Coast Blues sound and Jed Beyer has created the perfect mix of music. Right out of the chute, with the instrumental Brother Jack, by Jack McDuff, this all-star band of brothers gathers around a soulful Jim Pugh B-3 organ riff. This is the best album to come out in a while ... old school supreme! “Time of Gathering” is a 50s blues throwback that’s sure to keep you bustin’ with rompin’ thrills! The entire affair sounds like something that could have been recorded by the hippest, most soulful cats on the planet, circa 1960.
